Yo conocía, conozco y he escuchado el tremendo album que es I don´t care where i go when i die, recomendable para todo amante de la música más EXTREMA. Jodidamente buenos estos salvajes de Salt Lake City-Utah (Usa).

Nos presentan ahora, bueno, por este año. Su He never is coming back, que no es otra cosa, que la muestra de hasta donde se puede llevar el gusto por la música más extrema. Sinceramente, escuchar este disco supone un esfuerzo mental bastante grande , por su dureza y crudeza. Me explico, es un album demoledor, abrasivo, desgarrador, brutal, contundente y así, muchos adejtivos más. Por eso, debe de abstenerse gnete sensible y gente no tan sensible. Desde el primer minuto, podemos saborear la dulzura con la que estos cuatro musicos sacan lo mejor de si. Si cierras los ojos para escuchar este album, te aviso, es muy posible de que lleves algún susto y ya veréis el por qué.

Gaza son sencillamente geniales, acojonantes y ojalá, sigan sacandao muchos muchos muchos discos. Este es otro que hay que comprar obligatoriamente. Órdago para Gaza. Pobre de mis oídos y de vecinos, claro.

Some bands are famous, others are infamous and Kickback from Paris, the latest signing to the GSR roster, are most defintiely the latter. With a history that is rife with controversey, violence and hatred along with a middle finger and fuck you attitude to the hardcore scene that spawned them, Kickback return with their first album in almost 10 years titled No Surrender. As one of the first bands to fuse metal and hardcore, Kickback continue where they left off and all 11 songs on No Surrender are fuelled by the hate that drives them.

Stephen's vocals are as raw and pissed off as they ever were, spitting venom and rage with every twisted line of contempt. The music is a barrage of metallic riffing and thunderous drumming that lurches with groove forcing you to bang your head. With a history that spans almost 20 years and with thousands of records sold worldwide this is a much anticipated release for many people and is a continuation of the band's already powerful and destructive legacy. Kickback are very much back on the map and will be a force to be reckoned with in 2009 when thoughts and ideas have become weak and watered down and an attitude of following the leader with a sheep like mentality has become the norm, Kickback are here to tip the scales and upset the balance. Don Van Vliet, también conocido como Captain Beefheart (traducción literal; Capitán Corazón de Vaca) nació a mediados de los años 40’, en el distrito de Cucamonga (California - EEUU). Artista que no se limita a la música, sujeto a un eclecticismo y libertad creativa etiquetada por muchos de enfermiza; por lo iconoclasta y surrealista de su hacer.

Su obra musical más aclamada es Trout Mask Replica, proyecto que conformó con su banda de soporte. Experimento libre de poesía, disonancia y atonalidad en ritmica sincopada, fragmentada, que a extrañeza de antiguos rankings musicales supo vender un considerable número de copias (sobre todo para semejante obra experimental). Quizás gracias al «de boca en boca» de los músicos contemporáneos (cabe destacar a Frank Zappa, productor del disco). Comentan los escuchas que se requiere de cierta predisposición intelectual y dósis de paciencia a lo «extraño» para apreciar este y demas discos suyos.

Anteriormente se editan trabajos donde hay cierto acercamiento y inmersion al avant garde. Posterior a Trout Mask Replica hay tres discos editados en los 70’s donde continua la vía experimental, para luego crear con un enfoque de mayor semejanza a los estándares de la época.

This is one of my favorite hardcore releases of 2008, any format: vinyl, cd or tape. These NYC dudes play a noisy brand of hardcore that remind me of old AmRep bands of the early 90's. The style/production is raw and harsh. Lots of really cool guitar work and shouted vocals with some reverb in it brings a different approach to the music. This is a total DIY full length tape release, something that is pretty rare these days. I bought this tape on a whim, and was a total surprise. I'd like to see these guys live. -Crucial Changes-

The band Love in Elevator started in late 2001 in Venice with Anna Carazzai (vocalist, guitarist), Giulia Volpato (singer), Michela Modesto (bassist) and Tommaso Sogne (drummer). The first original lineup lasted from 2001 to 2006. 2004 the band went into a Milano studio called Mezzanima and recorded their first few tracks. The result was the EP Venoma on Jestrai Records label. It consisted of four songs: Venoma, Buildings Upside Down, Helter Skelter (Beatles cover, moreover published in the Beatles compilation by Jestrai 2004), Doe (Breeders cover).

Since 2004 Love in Elevator have been touring small underground clubs, bars to gain more recognition, and they gained popularity supporting national and international rock bands and participating to the big festival Rock in Idro in 2005 (Juliette Lewis and the Licks, Turbonegro, The Hives, etc..).At the beginning of 2005, Love in Elevator returned to the studio, this time the Natural Headquarter Studio in Ferrara, for the realise of the violent and uncompromising Sue Me, that gained numerous positive reviews.Love in Elevator sounds noisy, abrasive and pure: the band managed to express the schizophrenic coexistence of the innocent, apprehensive, defenseless child with the experienced evil.

By the time of their second album, 2008's Re Pulsion, the band didn’t smoothed out their rougher edges.Sue Me was already an eruption of cathartic violence, but Re Pulsion is a set of psychological traumas, a witchy pandemonium, hysterical screams and massive distortions, from which Anna vomited harrowing lyrics, mad with rage, disenchantment and frustration. The new line-up is setted on July 2008 with Christian (Boulevard Pasteur, Malvena) and Roberto (Diet Kiss, Meian Project), at bass and drums.After a new tour that included also gigs in France, the band decides to quit Jestrai Records, to start a new self-managed course. On October 2009, Love in Elevator is the official Mudhoney's support band for their three gigs in Italy.

Armed with drums and (ultra distorted) bass only, this heavy, hellbound girl-boy two-piece from Brooklyn crashes and bashes though ten trashed tracks of roughhewn rumble, making quite a crazed art-metal-noise racket. The drummer (girl, Speck Brown) pounds the skins with brutal abandon. Meanwhile the bassist (boy, Brendan Majewski) sings, in the most vicious nasty shriek he can muster, which is indeed brutal too, all the while ripping out the distorted riffage - which can get kinda catchy, on such negative creep cuts as "Love Is For The Birds". Elsewhere they lay waste to such troubling topics as "Penis Farm", "Swan Blood", and "Jane Fonda".

Titling their album Aborted By Birth may be intended to draw comparisons to death metallers Cannibal Corpse, if only to stress their metallic bona fides, since otherwise they probably get a lot of Lightning Bolt references, due to the bass-drums duo setup. Naturally, godheadSilo, Jucifer, and Israel's Barbara would be other good comparisons.By the way, if you go on YouTube and look 'em up, you'll find some pretty cool, arty homemade videos for each of this album's songs!

MICROFILM is a french band created in 2003 by musicians coming from various musical backgrounds and bands such as Gum, Seven Hate and Myra Lee. The result of their meeting is an instrumental music including audio and video samples and is often described as Post Rock in the vein of Mogwai, Explosions in the sky, From monuments to masses... The project takes its true dimension in concert through the projection of pictures sampled from movies and then graphically re-animated.To avoid looking like any simple movie concert and to keep spotlight on the musicians's play, the images are piloted directly by the musicians to the rythm of the songs thanks to pedals specially designed by them.

The music style is quite original since they only listen to their feelings and music is their way to express their emotions.Concerning their musical tastes, it's pretty wide,from deeply independent rockbands to highly commercial Mtv productions such as Sonic Youth, Jawbox, The Neptunes, My Bloody Valentine, Queens Of The Stone Age, Foxy Brown, Bernard Hermann, Black Sabbath... The first album of MICROFILM "A journey to the 75th" was released on cd in January 05 (Rejuvenation records/JR prod) and then re-released on LP in January 06 (Migouri records).It was acclaimed by the french independent press,fanzines and websites...it even appeared in the american website The Silent Ballet's Top 50 of instrumental releases (2006)! "Stereodrama" the title of their latest album, is the band's most complete production since it was conceived as a whole.Comfortably sitting in his chair with a pair of 3D glasses included in the album, the listener can plunge himself completely in the plastic and musical relief of the compositions. This album was released in France by La Baleine distrib and gave the band the opportunity to play more and in bigger venues all around France (Paris, Lyon, Nantes, Bordeaux, Rennes...)but also through Europe and even in China for a 8-show-tour in summer 2007!

Finneyerkes

finneyerkes was actually born out of two tracks on Randy Yerkes' debut solo release, Glada. While the majority of the samples used on that album came from movies, two tracks ("Blues" and "Empire Of Ruin") instead featured the voice of Matt Finney. Randy met Matt, an unlikely poet, in Alabama when he moved away from the rest of Talent Sold Separately in 2005. The two did not create any music together while they both lived in the same place, but Randy developed an affinity for Matt's writing which led to his involvement with Moose Jaw a few years later. Musically, finneyerkes tends towards the mellower tones that Randy has to offer, building an appropriate soundscape for Matt's reflective, melancholic free verse. The music provides the room for the words to bounce around within before becoming unheard again. finneyerkes has been extremely productive since their formation in 2009, releasing two albums and a video single through Talent Sold Separately as well as an additional album through dotContemporary, and they show no signs of stopping anytime soon.
