ANAEROBA in start was an idea and an dream of Andrej ( former guitarist ) and Mitja ( vocals ) both old band farts to create a band - to collect a group of people spreading the ideas and philosophy of a propper punk life style. Spreading of anarchist ideas strongly supporting the DIY ethics and kind of "shouting" the equal rights from feminist, pacifist ideas to animal liberation and earth defence. The dreams started in 1999 with loads of personal problems - with finding the actual persons who would be part of the crustpunk monster called ANAEROBA. After a few line-up changes we found the right asses to join the bacteria. Miha and Matej ( both in loads of bands for ages !!!) were the actuall add to the both of punk enthusiasts. Gigs of psychocrustlunatic darkness started in south-northern Slovenia and spreaded it's first wings to Croatia when speaking of abroad the borders. Had realy good response. At the gig in 2001 got the first offer to do a split tape with Tragedy after the gig with em at the mighty MKNZ club - sadly 14 days after the gig some bastards broke into the MKNZ and have stolen all the archive datta tracks - so Aus Rotten, Oi Polloi, Battle of Disarm, Doom, Stradford Merchenaries keep yer recordings safe he,he !!! ANAEROBA never gott the recordings. The first squat gig realy important was in 2002 at the Autonomna Cona Molotov in Ljubljana / Slovenia. The venue was full of old and new friends - awesome rough sound and an real dark atmosphere. A few of us felt the atmosphere the same like AMEBIX described their gig atmosphere. Anaeroba is an Amebix fan - we admit !!! In 2002 the first tour of Europe was undertaken with support of Filip and Magda from Trujaca Fala label. Hey thanx for the booking. We had alot of fun met a few realy nice persons, bands like Phalanx - sadly they split. They were so nice and cool and also offered to release the debut LP/CD for us. After trough a year quite alot of gigs we decided to axe the ear drumms again trough Europe in 2004 this time including Switzerland and Holland with the street @punk friends called Aktivna Propaganda. Arrrggghh this was an caravan of booze thirsty punx - 14 people drinking out the venues ?? Yes sir. We had a great time. Met lots of old/new friends. After the tour Anaeroba had alot to work on the studio recordings - actualy it was an DIY studio based in old DADA's house. Huhh this was a horror of 1 year recording. Mitja and Miha live in Ljubljana others live about 120 km away - all live its own lifes have own jobs...imagine the long period of recording - drums in hot summer days, bass in september and guitar and vocals at -5 temperature. But we were happy; it was DIY !!! In 2005 Andrej sadly decided after 5 years of creating all the music to quit with the dream band - dear friend, we miss you alot. After Andrej's leaving Matevz and Ziga took over the guitar axing............................................................................................................... The tale continues...after loads of practice went on tour in 2006 up to EU/Scotland and back with the NYC spore drink core band Death Mold - had a great 3 weeks touring with em...after comming back a few shows and not much action trough the year. But the axing guys of this monster started to organise great DIY shows in Slovenska Bistrica and also started the collective called "Zaprti Oddelek" get in touch... We recorded and released a new demo of which material you can also throw your ears on this profile. This recordings are ment for a split release with our mighty Scotish friends called TRIBE...the vocals must be re-recorded as they suck on here haha..this demo and the t-shirts we pressed were the actual petrol benefit for our EU/ SWEDEN tour in May 2007 and again had a great time up in the Scandinavian country...last touring days with Guided Cradle in Prague and thanx to everyone ...the tale continues .................................................................................................................... In March/April 2008 Anaeroba recorded new songs and released it DIY as a demo called " Over The Walls And Borders " for the 5. th 3 week EU tour in May 2008. We were recording it at our so called " Anarktika " DIY studio at our practice place. The demo is now sold out and the recordings are waiting for better mastering and are goin to be released as the 2nd LP. So if youre interested to do it for us send us some material you were already working at. We need also an label to put that monster out on vinyl and cd. The Eu tour 2008 was a blast but on other side stressfull. After 7 years we had to split with Miha (drums) as he was not feeling as a part of the band anymore. Goinn to miss you mate !!! Need a drummer ... actualy we found an great guy and just hope he can fitt into the band. Thanx to everyone who helped us out on tour 2008 !!!............................................................................................................................................................................................................................... The tale continues..... in avgust 2008 Matevž decided to quit with the band so we will work on with Robce from Ajzak Joski on axe1 and hopefully soon an nice person on drums.... ..... more then a news: WE PRACTICE !!! Also got the " Over The Walls and Borders" album mastered by ( Dan ) MAMMOTH MASTERING from the US !!! Yes we re happy with the sound as the songs do go fluently trough !! To get you more happy and ourselves asses too we added an anti homophobia song as an "single" bound with the album called " LOVE SONG ". We will make an booklet goinn next to the album specialy for this as we think that sexism and homophobia is more then ever present on the scene nowadays. The song is from the 2007 recording session but you'll love it as it's punk ala crusty raw orc !! Mitja & Anja started again together: his dusty since start of this band forgotten @//crustpunk fanzine called MANKIND DISASTER and re goinn to make online version ( here on myspace haha ) and old good DIY photocopyed versions which are goinn to be free at gigs!! but if you can donate a coin would be ace to cover the postage if sending and covering the glue and paste expences... So let us know and send yer stuff to let us and our local scene know how you re somewhere in this world... send info about scene and DIY supporting actions, bands send yer material for reviews or send an review :) ..................... and again the tale continues !!!! We have Miha back on drumms so beware haha !!!... and the tale continues again... we made it after long long time the ANAEROBA CD is officialy and finally out... And still we shout; "MONUMENTS OF EXTINCTION - MONUMENTS OF MANKIND - FIELDS OF CONCRETE - FIELDS OF DEATH" !!! love/punk ANAEROBA

Brand new EP by the best Anarcho band going in the UK right now, 4 brand new tracks including a cover of Rudimentary Peni's "blissful myth". For fans for Crass, Conflict and Active Minds.

"Their 6th ep, co-released with Tadpole Records and 4 other labels across the globe. Powerful, angry, tuneful and sincere anarcho peacepunk. Punk as a vehicle for outrage, not "just entertainment packaged tastefully". This time around there's also some seriously killer guest vocals by Maureen Farrell (Leopard Leg, Polly Shang Kuan Band, Jettatura) and a Rudimentary Peni cover to wrap it all up nicely. Fucking inspiring."

04. Burden
05. Latency

Country: France
Genre: Noise Rock, Metal, Post Hardcore.
Label: Supine Records

Fuck yes! Oh fuck, fuck, fucking yes! This French act unloads some pounding fucking monolithic excellence in the vein of the finer side of the Hydra Head camp (think Isis, Knut, and so forth - decidedly more the latter than the former), blending doomy, sludgy, rhythmic dirges with a more caustic and abrasive side - often with fucked up shifts and time signatures involved. And it punishes. The recording sounds like a million bucks with hugely resonant percussion, sick distorted bass, perfectly crunchy and forceful guitars, searing vocal screams, and a dead even mix with perfect cohesion and ample clarity. Holy shit, I love this. The songwriting fairly consistently sways to and fro with lots of changes, but it all makes sense and stays unified in the end, so despite the presence of copious amounts of dissonance it's very tangible and rhythmically massive. The bass tone really does play a huge part in making this stuff so oppressive, and I totally love the vocals as well, because they're just relentless throat scorching screams that aren't at all irritating. "Pale" is a little chunkier with some start/stop rhythms (not the groovy variety, trust me), but "Dead End" closes side A with a little more twisted melody (even vocally, hinting at singing) in the vein of a band like Burst or something like that, adding a technical nuance that really stands out and highlights how tight and accurate the playing is here. Side B opens with the repetitive instrumental "Suppose Control Can Increase", leaning in on a slight Godflesh influence different from most of the other tracks herein, and every damn bit as effective. Closer "Other Suggestions and So On" follows a few harsher cuts with a more openly melodic side using octave chords and slightly more streamlined chord progressions, slowing down to a nice crawl at times and letting the notes really ring forth. The LP comes on clear vinyl an amazing gatefold sleeve with a strict color palette (almost exclusively shades of blue and yellow) and a layout structured very much in the Hydra Head school of repeating textural patterns, complete with excellent use of subtle gloss overlay printing for the band name and some of the patterns on the outer cover.

The lyrics fit the tone of the music perfectly, too: "We fucked up our lives and didn't even turn back to pick up what we left on the ground, We screwed up everything we touched, invariably, We didn't have enough humor for a single exception, We crawled toward the spring and we weren't thirsty at all, We forgot to live our lives and didn't even laugh when the party began" To my great dismay my copy of the sleeve got ruined in a recent tropical storm when my roof decided to leak profusely, so thankfully I was able to get the LP cleaned up enough to play perfectly! I plan to buy another copy of this ASAP, as well as scoring the CD pressing, because this shit rules. The LP is limited to only 500 copies though, so act fast if you'd like to snag one, and I highly fucking recommend it. I'm so glad this showed up in my mailbox, because this band deserves a shitload more attention, and something tells me they're going to be criminally underrated unless someone steps up. So please, by all means, fucking check this out. Do yourself a favor. Man, I love this. Great, great work.-Aversionline about their last album, but this have a similar songs-

Eulcid - Discography (1996-2006)

Country: USA
Genre: Posthardcore, Indie rock

I think that the idea for Eulcid came about in 1996 when my friend Travis suggested that we play some music. My band splintered and his band Piebald had been playing shows together here and there for several years at that point. It seemed like a good idea, but it took until the summer of 1997 to actually start to happen. We wrote the music to our first song on the evening before about 15 of our circle of friends were about to move to Boston from the Merrimack Valley. It was called "five months, ok" and would later appear on our demo. We were both excited to start, and the first week after the move to Boston began practicing with friend Kurt Ballou on drums. Practices went regularly for the first month or so before scheduling problems began to take effect. Travis was in Piebald who were starting to really come into their own as an amazing band, and Kurt was finishing a class he needed to graduate as well as writing the final touches of his main band Converge's record "when forever comes crashing".

Sometime around January Travis was replaced with former Kid Kilowatt drummer Matt Redmond, and Kurt moved to bass. This incarnation really only lasted two practices. I was nearly jumping out of my skin to get some songs out of my head and knowing Kurt would never be able to tour because of his other obligations former Splintered bass player Chris Raiche was recruited to fulfill the bass playing duties. Thus Eulcid really began in April of 1998. The old line up left us with the shell of two songs and one complete one, but we wasted no time finishing these and adding two more to record our first demo with help from my roommate Steve Brodsky less than a month later on borrowed equipment. With four hundred copies of the demo pressed we played our first show back where it all started in the Merrimack Valley with Piebald. Every friend I could think of showed up to lend support. That summer four months after that we hit the road with the short lived and under appreciated "the never never" for ten shows and then six with the ire/cave in tour. It was amazing! The demos went fast and the shows were tremendous fun, I was broke from buying a van, but it was worth it. We all felt good to be in a band that was serious about creating music. A solo winter tour followed in December of 98 and "the crane ep" was released in March 99 on undecided records. Local shows, a jaunt to Canada with cave in, and more touring were to follow in the summer of 1999. This time the entire country rolled under the wheels of our van Mr. Bruno. With our roadie extraordinaire and professional napper Ryan Daniels (he slept through the entire state of Indiana) we played about 25 shows all around the U.S. Throughout this whole time though, one thought planted itself in my mind, that of our next record. When we returned home practicing became intense and sometimes shows were turned down in favor of practice time. Songs were being worked and reworked in my head, worked and reworked in practices, and then evaluated even more over and over again during my daily routine. Every factor was taken in to consideration that I could think of and every word labored over.

Finally March 25th 2000 we began recording. It seemed as though anything that could happen to make the process more difficult did. We had a terrible family emergency, the tape machine broke, I was sick, but all those months of preparation paid off, for the album was tracked and completed true to my vision of it! The Wind Blew All the Fires Out is something that was worked on for over a year, and consumed my life to a certain extent. But now when I sit here and think about all the work that went into it, the friendship the three of us have developed and the caring for our music it seems so easy. It seems easy to sit in a van for 15 hours, it seems easy to lose thousands of dollars, it seems easy to do twenty takes of a song in the studio until it is just right, and I guess most of all it seems easy to do it again. Eulcid featured members of Piebald, New Idea Society, Cave-In, Converge, and Kid Kilowatt. The band played a great brand of posthardcore and indie rock. Picture Quicksand, the melodic parts of Cave-In, and Kid Kilowatt thrown into a blender. Enjoy!!!

When listening to the Invasives, it seems that comparisons between them and Nomeansno are inevitable: both are Canadian power trios featuring two brothers, both brothers in both bands sing, both play an angular, musically accomplished fusion of punk aggression and prog technicality (and at times are given to prog bombast), both are heavily narrative in their lyrical approach, and they both implement the same trebly guitar tone over pounding, ace rhythm sections. So unless you only love bands with extremely high-pitched, quasi Mike Patton-esque vocals, why should you care about The Invasives if you've already heard Nomeanso?

The answer is that while yes, it is true that the Invasives are heavily indebted to Nomeansno with regards to their sound, that is hardly a bad thing when one of your clear musical inspirations is one as smart and difficult to pull off properly as the former mentioned trio. And really, the Invasives manage to execute this brand of epic prog-punk quite competently. The music is tightly performed, contains plenty of interesting guitar and bass interplay, and is both energetic and clearly quite carefully put together. I can't honestly say it's the most original sound I've ever heard, but heck if it isn't still smart, and perhaps more importantly, rarely boring. And who doesn't love a hidden hardcore track dedicated to the merits of pizza from time to time?

All this said, when it comes down to it, it's impossible for me to listen to Desk Job At Count Dracula without being continually reminded that certain other trio while I listen to it. And while that's not a bad thing is this case, I'd like to see the Invasives put their ability towards defining their own sound a bit more solidly. They do well with the blueprint already established here, but also do little to really make it their own. But then, you could do a hell of a lot worse: At least I don't see these guys covering entire Ramones albums from start to finish any time in the near future… -Hunter Brawer @Satan Stole My Teddybear-

Defeater-Discography (so far) 2008-2009

Country: USA
Genre: Hardcore, punk
Label: Topshelf/Bridge 9

Defeater formed in Massachusetts in 2004 and solidified in 2008 from a diverse background of musicians, Defeater is a forward-thinking hardcore band with more to them than just mosh parts. The band released their debut full-length Travels on Topshelf Records in 2008 and followed-up with a 2x7" titled Lost Ground in 2009. Defeater has a wide array of influences and at first listen, you’ll hear tracks reminiscent of Botch and Deadguy mixed with traditional hardcore. Ethically influenced by bands like Fugazi and musically by Minor Threat and Modern Life Is War. Defeater's first album Travels is a concept album that is actually a narrative of a man's life set to a volatile soundtrack of hardcore fury, punk melody and metal technicality.

Defeater continues the narrative theme on Lost Ground, which features six new songs about a man's journey from enlisting in the military to post-war life. On Lost Ground, the narrative focuses on the "prophet" from the song "Prophet In Plain Clothes", a song from their critically acclaimed debut LP Travels. This continuing story is set to a volatile soundtrack of hardcore fury, punk melody and metal technicality while the band explores some cleaner and bigger-sounding dynamics. "Lost Ground is a musically precise and genre-bending release from this forward-thinking band. Enjoy!

Puissant ! -ADDICTIF-ZINE-

Starkweather is an innovative metal/hardcore band from Philadelphia, United States that formed in 1989. Their name is taken from Charles Starkweather, a late 1950s spree killer. They have influenced many of today’s top selling hardcore/metal bands such Converge, Dillinger Escape Plan and Mastodon. Here's their earlier releases for you to enjoy! Great band.

Taste The Sin," the second full-length from Black Tusk and first on Relapse, rips into locomotive riffing and powerful percussion, creating a furious display that incorporates the fury of punk and the precision of thrash metal within a familiar Southern-fried landscape, carrying on the tradition of other Savannah, GA bands like Kylesa and Baroness. Great album. Enjoy!

Label: Pug Records, Transfusão Noise

For Top Surprise, it’s as if the world began in the 80’s. That’s when the band members were born, and when guitars reached unbearable volumes. Therefore, names like J. Mascis and Thurston Moore somehow represent the big bang that would result in the sound of the four-piece from the boring Juiz de Fora, in Brazil’s southeastern state of Minas Gerais. Another big influence, Guided by Voices’ lo-fi recordings were a stronger D.I.Y. message for the X and Y generations (yes, that’s where we are right now) than the messages that came before. But Top Surprise knows homemade noises, though wonderful, doesn’t float everyone’s boat; so they pack their songs with pop melodies that would certainly leave Phil Spector either proud or deaf.

Philadelphia, PA's Starkweather was formed in 1989 with founders Todd Forkin on guitar, Harry Rosa on drums, and Rennie Resmini on vocals. Even in their embryonic stage their unique collective vision was lethal. Starkweather's progressive metal precision, Hardcore grit, and Avante Garde experimentalism coalesced into one awe inspiring musical force. After releasing a demo cassette through the then fledging tape trading circuit, Starkweather unleashed their 1991 debut album "Crossbearer" onto the masses. The release became an instant crossover classic, exerting far reaching influence over the hardcore/metal world of the day. "Crossbearer" paved the way for the hardcore/metal hybrids that dominate today's music community, ultimately changing the course of heavy music as we know it. For nearly a decade, Starkweather flew just below the radar. More importantly they flew below the metallic hardcore explosion that was taking place on the grid. Not interested in running with any pack or being part of any scene, Starkweather veered and ventured out into the darkness, alone. Like the animal they are, Starkweather would still need to feed.

The band made occasional live show and festival appearances before unleashing their stunning "Croatoan" album on the Candlelight and Hypertension labels in 2006. The album was ultimately celebrated by fans of all sub-genres of heavy music and considered one of the best of 2006 by countless critics worldwide. Now after four long years, Starkweather have emerged from the darkness to bring you their latest full length opus "This Sheltering Night". "This Sheltering Night" is a dizzying eleven song journey of unimaginable metallic twists and turns, Featuring mesmerizing soundscapes from Sophia Perennis and Oktopus (dalek) alongside traditional Starkweather efforts, "This Sheltering Night" is as brutal and as dynamic as aggressive music can be. Songs like "Broken From Inside" roll and mutate from crushing metallic riffs and into the serene. While songs like "Epiphany" and "Martyring" show a band as a giant at the height of their complex musical and lyrical power.

Integrity have been surrounded by myth, controversy, and legend for much of their almost 20 year existence. Along with fellow Cleveland monsters Ringworm, they are responsible for laying the foundation for metallic hardcore as we know it. Not only dictating, but literally defining the wave of musical darkness that continuously influences those at the forefront of the aggressive music scene. You can hear their direct influence in bands like Rot In Hell, Rise And Fall, Converge, Hatebreed, and more. A ten headed beast of an album, "The Blackest Curse" is arguably the most cohesive Integrity release of the last fifteen years. With the first crushing chords of "Process of Illumination" it's apparent that Integrity are back in true form, following the metal/hardcore hybrid blueprint they forged themselves over two decades ago. The blitzkrieg bombardment of songs like "Learn To Love The Lie" and "Through The Shadows of Forever" is unrelenting, while speed demons like "Simulacra" and "Spiderwoven" are as uniquely frenzied as a metallic hardcore can get. It's not all aural brutality though, as "The Blackest Curse" proves that the root of their evil can morph into all shapes and sizes. Songs like "Before The World Was Young" and "Take Hold of Forever" showcase Integrity's trademark melodious moments as well as their dark experimental tendencies.

With "The Blackest Curse" Integrity never stray from their chosen artistic path. And like the few other legacy bands in existence (Motorhead, etc.), they don't ever need to. Their formulaic cohesive vision is why "The Blackest Curse" is truly another brilliant album, adding to their intriguing and bizarre legacy. A reign that still, after over twenty years, continues to demand a cult like devotion that is "Holy Terror" to the very core.

The band guidelines on a musical level differ from everything done before by its members, becoming closer to other musical styles like Extreme Metal, Post Metal or Math Metal, as well as drawing on the personal influences of each of its members. Vortice’s sound is thick, low, heavy and complex. This recording session was produced by Iban Puigel (The Unfinished Sympathy ) at the Fundicio Musical del Barri in Hospitalet del Llobregat (Barcelona). Iban, former member of Vortice, understood perfectly the band sound producing an amazing result. Vortice has played live around Spain in cities like Barcelona, Madrid, Valencia, Ubeda, Bilbao, or Donosti and continues to do so.

In the begining of 2009, While david was sitting in the classroom at the Technical university of Haifa and wondering about what his life is meant for, he realized it is meant for PUNK and not for machines.
So he dropped the encyclopedia and his brain and moved to Tel Aviv.
While both living in the same city once again, David and Nadav brought up some sweet old school punk riffs in the spirit of their youth punk adoring in Haifa / Nesher and added to their forces Assaf, Gad and Ben, which were as well long time "punk scenesters" friends from different areas in Israel- which together bacame - Uzbeks
The name Uzbeks has no special meaning to us, it is simply a cool name for a punk band and nothing further.
The first Uzbeks show took place during the opening night of the Rugatka bar, and not too long after that an 8 song demo was recorded (with 7 original songs and one homage to the danish Lost Kids).
Our ideas deal with a variety of social-political issues such as human rights, freedom, acceptance and the lack of all those aspects in certain points of life or different situations and places.
The basic idea of our sound is the 80's punk rock we grew up with, but it's also other punk rock elements that each member in the band adds to the sound of the band which makes it happen the way we like it.
In September 2010, we will do out first tour in Europe, will take place in - Germany, Belgium, France, Spain, Italy, Slovakia, Poland and Czech Republic
