A few weeks ago, Dan from Latest Flame records sent me a promo cd of Police Teeth's Awesomer Than The Devil Cd and asked me to post a teaser to the album, which is slated for a release date of April 26th 2011. My initial reaction After listening to the album was wow, there are so many great styles of music coming from one band. I felt like a kid at Christmas and was completely blown away. All I can say right now is ADD in the best possible sense! Police Teeth, Hailing from Bellingham, WA have a post-punk sound like Wire, Mission of Burma, indie rock like Les Savy Fav, and bits of 31G style noise elements like a mellower Refused, or a less abrasive Blood Brothers. Completing the package is garage rock like Drive Like Jehu, Obits, and Hot Snakes. I'm amazed I never heard the band before. Do yourself a favor and give Police Teeth a listen. I can't even begin to describe how good Awesomer Than The Devil is!!! Hopefully, the band will allow me to post the full album after the April 26th release date.
