HORSEBACK’s ‘The Gorgon Tongue: Impale Golden Horn + Forbidden Planet’ brings together a reissue of Jenks Miller’s ‘Impale Golden Horn’ with the new (and previously cassette-only release) work of the ‘Forbidden Planet’ Lp. ‘Impale Golden Horn’ is a work of lush, blessed out drone a la Flying Saucer Attack and Loop. Its’ beauty is in stark contrast to ‘Forbidden Planet’; a decidedly harsh record with its sinister tones and harsh, distorted black-metal vocals. ‘The Gorgon Tongue:…’ further reinforces how broad and captivating HORSEBACK’S abstract psychedelia is.
With Horseback's sophomore album, they continue to push the boundaries of experimental music with this incredibly heavy double cd of psychedelic drone mixed with black metal.
This is An absolute necessity for fans of Nadja, SunnO))), Earth. There's even a bunch of songs that lean towards postrock comparable to Godspeed You Black Emperor. I'd say it's my favorite drone record this year, these guys are truely demonic visionaries. Buy it or I'll impale you with my golden horn.

Un ripeo más que en condiciones, sobre todo, desde que las reglas de los grupos que forman la escena cambiaron a V0.
Por otro lado, como bien pone en la info de Relapse, no hay nada nuevo. Aunque personalmente, lo de Forbidden Planet no lo había escuchado.

¿donde se entera uno de las movidas estas de los grupos de ripeos y de historias varias? siempre he tenido curiosidad
por cierto, he reducido el peso de la imagen de la portada, que pesaba bastante. En realidad lo hago casi siempre, esto de la autopaginación de bloger es una jodienda bien grande

Lo siento, sí, tienes razón. Siempre se me olvida escalar las imágenes.
Y bueno, el principal canal de esto siempre ha sido IRC, y aunque la mayoría de la gente no sabe diferenciar (técnicamente hablando), ni le interesa hacerlo, un V0 (óptimo) de un 160 cbr (no hablaré ya de FLAC), las reglas (etc) también se pueden encontrar sin mucha dificultad vía web.
Por cierto, la parte de Forbidden Planet me ha encantado.
