Wow. I was pleasantly surprised after receiving a request from Ruptures to do this post. Ruptures are a four piece band from Los Angeles, CA who play a style of music that's really hard to pin down. At times I hear post hardcore in the vein of bands like early Blood Brothers, Refused, The Rise, or Since By Man. At other times the band's sound reminds me of something that would have been put out on Level Plane records in the early 90's (think Hot Cross or The Now). Ruptures also includes some flourishes of modern hardcore in a similar style of bands like Touche Amore. Throw in some noise samples and a brief spoken word piece, and the end result is a killer album. The ten songs on Adormidera makes for an urgent, dark, and almost claustrophobic listen. The band was also cool enough to send their debut EP entitled Milkbled, which was released in 2010. Overall a great band worth checking out. Great job guys! Thanks for sharing.
