Brito is a three piece band from Groningen, The Netherlands. To me Brito encompasses what true Emo should sound like. The band takes cues from 90's and early 2000's emotive hardcore made popular by bands such as Shotmaker, Bread And Circuits, and Yaphett Kotto. Brito would have fit in well on record labels such as Level Plane or Ebullition records. At other times, the band takes cues sonically from post hardcore bands such as Fugazi or Twelve Hour Turn. The seven songs on This Wave Is Only For The Good Hearted makes for a great listen. Fans of Sinaloa, Dominic, and older bands such as Shotmaker really need to give this band a listen. Great stuff! Such a great record. Definitely has a red scare vibe going on too. Just found out they are playing again and have two new releases coming up!
