Hybris were are relatively unknown and obscure band from Germany who existed from 1998-2003. This highly underrated band played a dark and at times atmospheric sounding music that meshed swirling guitars, rapid-fire drumming, and shrieked vocals that were delivered with urgency and sincerity. This band was compared to bands such as Union Uranus and One Eyed God Prophecy. The best way for me to describe Hybris is to imagine bands such as Orchid and Ampere mixed with darker sounding German bands such as Alpinist, Planks, Zann, and Perth Express. Members of Hybris currently play in The Now Denial. Great stuff! Enjoy!
