Run for cover records has had an amazing year in putting out incredible records and this compilation is proof positive that the label is one of the best out there. In 2011, Run For Cover records put out incredible albums by a diverse variety of bands this year including Seahaven, Young Statues, Basement, Hostage Calm, Tigers Jaw, CSTVT, and a great 7" subscription series, which will be posted in it's entirity in 2012 when the series is completely released and in my sweaty hands. Mixed Signals is the label's fiftieth release and marks a special occasion for the label at a time when its impact and influence on the modern punk scene has reached unprecedented heights. Mixed Signals provides a snapshot of today's scene, a diverse group of talented musicians creating meaningful music and making waves throughout all corners of punk rock. The roster for "Mixed Signals" reads like a best-of, must-hear list of current independent acts, bringing together new, unreleased and exclusive songs from a list of bands who collectively have released some of the most worthwhile records of the past few years, toured the world and left an indelible impact on the many they've performed for.
