Neon Basstard are a Wellington, New Zealand based band who have unleashed upon us a filthy, brutal, seething beast of a record. Neon Basstard create a stupefying amalgamation of genres within their sound. The best way to describe the band is to imagine a jaw dropping combination of sounds including metal, punk rock and pure noise rock. Hackjob On PSB blugeons the senses with a seething, chaotic sound that alternates between shredding guitars and stoner-style riffs. The guitars wreak havoc and collide with blast-beat style drums, distorted bass, and inhuman sounding vocals. Neon Basstard will undoubtably draw fans of bands such as Converge, Black Cobra, Fistula, Melvins, Black Market Ministry, Eyehategod, Discharge, Anti-Cimex, Grids, Gaza, and Meraudergrind. Seriously, this is some extremely chaotic, genre-defying music. Is it punk, indie, sludge, doom,stoner, grunge, or all of the above? You be the judge!
