Dropdead are a highly influential hardcore, punk, thrash, and powerviolence band from Providence, Rhode Island who got their name from a Seige demo. Many modern bands owe this band credit for paving the way for today's current heavy music scene. Dropdead have been in existence since 1991 and as by the band's most recent split 7" with Converge, show no signs of letting up. Dropdead's sound encompasses Japaneese hardcore, punk, crust, and powerviolence with lyrics dealing with subjects such as animal rights, pacifism, and anti-authorianism.The band's songs are generally short and very fast-paced, with few lasting longer than one minute. This album was originally originally released in 1994 as an 11" LP on Clearview records and later as a 12" via UK based Flat Earth records in 1995. These 45 songs are a compilation of tracks from their first 7", their split 8" with Rupture, their split 5" with Crossed Out and several compilation songs.
