Damn, I don't know how I completely missed the boat when it comes to this band. Momentum are a London, UK based band formed in 2011. Momentum features members of Plague Mass, Light Bearer, Fall of Efrafa and XZieglerX, so you know you're in for something special before you even hear the band's music. Whetting Occam's Razor is the band's debut LP. Whetting Occam's Razor features fifteen tracks of driving, epic, heavy and melodic DIY hardcore punk. The music is both crushing and uplifting. Momentum ignores sub-genres and get back to the basics of playing fast and politically charged music. According to the band's bio, Momentum is influenced by the words of Carl Sagan and other philosophical/radical thinkers and thematically deals with the concept of our place in the universe as well as our day to day struggles as a human species in the current world in which we inhabit.
