Bad Drugs are a Chicago, IL based band who play a deranged, art damaged, and disturbing style of post punk influenced noise rock. The band plays a style of music influenced by 31G bands such as Headwound City, Holy Molar, Arab On Radar, and Chineese Stars. But that's only the beginning. Bad Drugs is equally influenced by bands such as Melvins, Jesus Lizard, and Unsane. Add a healthy dose of the sonic destruction of bands like Lightening Bolt, and you'll see where the band is heading with their sound. The seven songs on Raw Powder will leave you feeling brutalized, pummeled, and sick. By far, these are some of the most disturbing songs I've heard in a while. I mean that in the best possible way in case you're wondering. Wow, a total mind fuck is what comes to mind here. This is a must listen for fans of newer Daughters and Brain Bombs.
