Yeah, so it sucks Cloud Mouth broke up. But good things can come from the break-up of a really kick-ass band. That's precisely the case with Lovesick. Lovesick is a chaotic, emotive post hardcore/emotive hardcore band from the greater Chicago area. Lovesick features members of Parrhesia, Cloud Mouth, Antilles, Muscle Brain, and Lion of the North. The musician's talent and experience definitely shows with the band's debut demo. The two songs on Lovesick's self-titled demo are chaotic, heavy, discordant and feature shouted vocals that fit the style of music played by the band. Influences are varied but I get hints of Ampere, Orchid, The Fiction, City Of Caterpillar as well as the influences of the band members former and current bands listed above. These two demo songs are amazing. If this is the result of Cloud Mouth breaking up, then I'm sure I'll get over the band's demise (maybe). I still think Cloud Mouth's Keep Well 10" was barely scratching the surface of the potential the band could have had if they stayed together longer. Overall, Amazing demo. Can't wait to hear more from Lovesick!
